TRIAL / EVENT and GENERAL INFORMATION
For Clubs and/or Individuals participating in a Trial, Event, Seminar and/or Tournament at Rocky View K9 Sport Arena please read the following information:
WAIVER
Please send us a list of your participants as we do need to verify that all participants have registered, logged in and signed the waiver online at rockyviewk9crew.com
SAFETY & FIRST AID
The arena is equipped with an AED and a FIRST AID kit. These items are located beside the barn washroom to the North side on the wall.
The Facility address is 274141 TWP RD 240, Rocky View County, AB.

FACILITY RULES
We request yourself and your Trial, Seminar, Event and/or Tournament participants to review the online Facility Rules and the Arena Information TABS.
There are paper copies of the waiver at arena behind the sliding door. These are only for last minute attendance as we still request anyone using the facility to go on line and complete the waiver electronically.
PARKING
You may use all the space in the front large parking lot. If people park close to the fence there will be room for a 3rd row of cars in the middle of the parking lot. There is a road that loops around in a circle (West side of Arena) and this may be used for overflow parking.

There may be help to direct people on where to park. See photo below of the parking layout that works best for larger events. 3 rows of cars in the main parking lot fits well and this has worked for our recent larger Trial events. Let us know if you want any reserved parking for yourself, judges, trial organizers etc.
NO PARKING will be permitted behind the Trailer on the grass, as the trailer's septic field is located there.

GARBAGE & RECYCLING
Please ensure all DOG POOP is disposed of in OUTDOOR green Garbage bin. This large green metal bin is located outside near the ON LEASH dog potty grass area on the EAST side of the Arena. Solar powered Motion Sensor Lights are located near this bin.
Indoor garbage, bottle recycling and recycling bins are provided for your use. Please DO NOT put any dog poop in the indoor garbage bins. Do not dump any liquids in indoor garbage bins (coffee, pop, water). All unused liquids or beverages can be poured outside or in the toilet as this helps us with regular garbage maintenance. Please recycle all clean paper products such as course maps. There is a big blue recycle bin located near the barn bathroom.
We have multiple garbage bins inside the building located around the benching area and at the North side of the barn near the washroom for people to use.​
BENCHING
The North area of the indoor arena is for dog benching. This is in front of the competition ring (130’ x 80’) in the arena. We do allow for overflow benching in the barn. There are available box stalls marked "Overflow Trial Benching". Please feel free to use these box stalls as needed.

FACILITY HEATING
The ARENA Heat stays ON and is set at an approximate temperature of 10-12 degrees Celsius for the Winter season. There is a thermometer located below the TV (on West Arena wall) for reference. The ceiling fans in the arena will push the warm air down. These arena fans will remain turned ON 24/7 for the winter season to help keep the temperature in the arena warmer. The arena sliding door can be left open during Trials, Events, Seminars and Tournaments to allow the warm air circulation from the barn. Please ensure The arena sliding door is closed at the end of your event.
The attached BARN heat stays ON at an approximate temperature of 19-20 degrees Celsius for the Winter season. We request that the arena sliding door is kept CLOSED at the end of each booking as it prevents heat loss from the barn. The Arena is heated but is not as warm as the barn. The barn has in floor heating set at a fixed temperature for the cold weather season. There is a thermometer in the barn near the First Aid kit for reference. DO NOT open any overhead doors in the arena and/or barn as the boiler is running.
The barn temperature is much warmer then the arena. Feel free to come into the barn area and warm up as needed.
BATHROOMS
The Port A Potty (equipped with a small sink inside) is available indoors at the front of the arena near the NE overhead door for customer use.
The barn bathroom is also available for customer use. For the current Winter season Please leave this barn bathroom door OPEN when not in use. It gets very hot in the bathroom and we prefer that this heat goes into the barn area for your comfort.
DOG POTTY AREA
The ON LEASH potty area is the grass field NE of the Arena and on the East side of the parking lot. This field has been mowed short for easy cleanup and is easily located. In the Winter the snow will be cleared in this field/potty area. There are Solar powered Motion Sensor lights at the entrance of this field.
OFF leash is not permitted anywhere on the property except for dogs running in the competition arena.
DO NOT let dogs pee/poop on buildings and/or farm equipment or hay/straw bales.
DUST FREE ARENA FOOTING
Please DO NOT dump any water/liquids inside the ARENA. The Arena has a dust free ground for the Sport Dogs to run and play on and cannot be watered. Please dump ALL water outside.
This includes the water from your dog bowls.
Participants should bring water for themselves and their dogs. The water at the facility is unprocessed well water.
RENTAL TIME & AMENITIES
"Full Day" Arena rental includes Private use of the arena from 7 am to 10 pm. The barn is available for participants to warm up, enjoy some "trial provided" coffee/snacks and use the overflow Dog Benching in the designated box stalls.
There are tables in the barn for your Trial, Event, Seminar and/or Tournament use. Plug in access is located near one of the tables (outside the office area) and another near north end of barn. For crock pots use the extension cord provided and plug in at South end of barn to avoid tripping the breaker. We have coffee pots/hot water urns for your use. The Kitchen fridge/freezer is available for your use as needed. There are 16 black chairs located in the barn (stored in a box stall) for your use. There are an additional 16 black chairs stored in a box stall at the front of the arena. These chairs can be used for your ring crew and ​spectator use.

END OF DAY TRIAL CHECK LIST

Please leave up the last Agility course of your Trial, Event or Seminar if discussed previously.

Please ensure the Agility course left up has a paper copy of the map (put up on the magnetic white board) at the arena and a copy of the course map has been sent to Anita by text or email. Our next day customers request the current agility course map to be accessible.

Please empty indoor garbage cans (if 90% or more full) into the outdoor garbage bin.

Please sweep off the black mats in front part of arena (benching area).

Please pick up any loose garbage items and clumps of dog hair in benching area. Leave the benching area clean as it was when you arrived for your event.

Please Sweep the barn floor including the bathroom and kitchen areas. Misting water in the barn may be needed to prevent too much dust caused from sweeping. There is a watering can and/or water spray bottle (or mist barn area with the hose) in the wash bay area for your use. The Barn should be left as clean as it was at the beginning of your event.

Please clean/wipe down the barn bathroom and ensure it is left in the same condition as it was on arrival of your event.

Please Ensure all facility Lights are turned OFF before leaving.

The Arena FANS will remain running 24/7 please DO NOT turn these fans OFF.

Please ensure that the arena sliding door is CLOSED for end of day.

Please Lock both North and South barn doors at end of day.

NOTE FOR CUSTOMERS USING THE ARENA THE NEXT FEW DAYS AFTER A TRIAL
If the Trial, Event and/or Seminar ends late we cannot guarantee what type of course will be set up for the next few following days.
The agility host club/group will typically leave their last course set up for next day customer use.
Equipment at the Front of the Competition Arena / Young Dog - Puppy Training area may OR may not be setup the day after a trial.
Customers may still use the front arena area for dog training purposes and may use the equipment available at front of the arena in or near the box stalls. This is the area in front of the 130’ x 80’. Competition Ring.

Young Dog/Puppy Training equipment is available at the front of the arena for customer use. These items include: wing/wingless jumps, 4' and 5' jump bars/poles, jump bumps / stride regulators, DW that lowers, teeter that lowers, agility tables, channel & regular weaves and tunnels (10' 15' and 20'). Feel free to help yourself to any of these items that are not set up on the floor. Please put the equipment away when you have finished using it.
